I am Ylva! Inspired by a creative household and a father who is also an artist, Tattooing became the natural path in 2017. My early work was rooted in Neo-Traditional black and grey designs, often with a darker edge, alongside bold cartoon-style tattoos. After moving to Denmark in 2022, I developed a deep fascination with Scandinavia’s artistic heritage, particularly Bronze Age and Late Iron Age designs. Gripping beasts and “helleristninger” became a strong focus, and handpoking techniques were added to my repertoire.
However, rather than simply recreating the past, Ylva merges ancient aesthetics with modern influences, giving Nordic art a distinct and contemporary twist.
Through a constantly evolving artistic journey, Ylva continues to push creative boundaries, shaping a style that bridges history and innovation.
