2. What is the cost of a tattoo?

The cost of a tattoo can vary depending on various factors such as the size, complexity, and location of the tattoo, as well as the experience and reputation of the tattoo artist. It is recommended to consult with your tattoo artist directly to get an accurate estimate of the cost based on your specific design and requirements. In addition to consulting with a tattoo artist, you can also reach out to our assistant for a rough estimate of the cost. They will be able to provide you with a general idea based on the size and complexity of your desired tattoo. However, please note that the final cost may vary and it is always best to consult with the tattoo artist for an accurate estimate.

3. Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. To confirm your appointment, a security deposit must be paid. The deposit will be deducted from the final price of the tattoo and is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please inform us and the deposit can be applied to a rescheduled appointment. Otherwise, the deposit will be forfeited.

4. How long does a tattoo session usually last?

The duration of a tattoo session can vary depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo design, as well as the pain tolerance and endurance of the individual receiving the tattoo. On average, a tattoo session can last anywhere from 1 to 6 hours. However, larger and more intricate designs may require multiple sessions spread over several hours or even multiple days. It is best to consult with your tattoo artist or our assistant to get a better understanding of how long your specific tattoo session may take.

5. Can I bring my own design?

Yes, you can definitely bring your own design to a tattoo session. It’s always a good idea to discuss your design with the tattoo artist beforehand to ensure that they can accommodate your request and provide any necessary adjustments or suggestions. Bringing reference images or sketches of your design can help the artist better understand your vision and bring it to life on your skin.

6. Are walk-ins accepted?

Being a small private studio we primarily operate by appointment only. However, there are occasions when we open our shop for walk-ins. To stay updated on these opportunities, we recommend following us on social media or checking our events page regularly. This will ensure that you don’t miss out on the chance to visit us as a walk-in customer.

7. What are the aftercare instructions for the tattoo?

Aftercare instructions for tattoos may vary depending on the tattoo artist and their specific technique. Therefore, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your tattoo artist at the end of your tattoo session. These instructions are tailored to their work and will ensure proper healing and longevity of your tattoo. It is essential to carefully follow these instructions to minimize the risk of infection and to promote optimal healing. Your tattoo artist will typically provide guidance on cleaning the tattoo, applying any recommended ointments or creams, avoiding certain activities or substances that may affect the healing process, and scheduling any necessary touch-up appointments. Remember to consult with your tattoo artist for their specific aftercare instructions, as they are the best source of guidance for your particular tattoo.

10. What is a handpoke tattoo?

A handpoked tattoo, also known as a handpoke or stick and poke tattoo, is a tattooing technique that involves manually inserting ink into the skin using a handheld needle or tool. Handpoked tattoos are created by repeatedly tapping or poking the skin with the needle to deposit the ink.

Handpoked tattoos have been around for thousands of years and have deep cultural and historical roots in many different parts of the world. They are often associated with ancient tattooing traditions and have gained popularity in recent years as an alternative to machine-made tattoos.

The process of creating a handpoked tattoo is slightly slower and more meticulous compared to machine tattooing. Handpoked tattoos can be done in a variety of styles, including traditional, geometric, and illustrative.

It’s important to note that handpoked tattoos should be done by a professional tattoo artist who is experienced and skilled in this specific technique. They should also follow proper hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean tattooing process.

11. How is a handpoke tattoo different from a machine tattoo?

The sensation experienced during the tattooing process could be considered the main difference. Handpoke tattoos are generally considered to be less painful.

Compared to machine tattoos, the handpoke technique is generally considered to be less traumatic to the skin. The manual process of handpoking involves gentle and controlled movements, resulting in less damage to the skin. This can lead to faster healing times and reduced risk of complications.

The benefits of the handpoke technique may vary depending on the skill and experience of the tattoo artist. It’s always recommended to research and choose a reputable and skilled artist who specializes in the handpoke technique for the best results.

It’s important to note that both handpoke and machine tattoos can result in beautiful and long-lasting artwork. The choice between the two techniques often comes down to personal preference, the desired aesthetic, and the expertise of the tattoo artist.
